Saying “men can’t get raped because they have an erection” is just as grotesque as saying “women can’t get raped because they’re wet”.

It really does warm my heart to see how many people support male victims of sexual abuse. Thanks to everyone for sharing this.

ask-an-mra-anything:

sure we’ve never had a woman president, the majority of politicians and CEOs are men, a woman needs a masters degree just to make the same money as a man with a BA doing the same job [citation needed], rape cases are grossly under prosecuted [citation needed], and we teach young girls that they’re “asking for” rape based on what they’re wearing [citation needed]

but let’s talk about the REAL issues like how some woman on the internet is selling a coffee mug with the words “male tears” printed on it

"a woman needs a masters degree just to make the same money as a man with a BA doing the same job"

More wage gap bullshit? Really?

"rape cases are grossly under prosecuted"

The standard of evidence for rape is low enough, what more do you want? Take her (Because let’s be really honest here, you don’t give a flying fuck about male victims) word for it?

and we teach young girls that they’re “asking for” rape based on what they’re wearing”

Who the fuck says that? You’re extrapolating the comments from very few people to argue for a non-existent, myhtical rape culture. What you actually want is the ability to intimidate men with the law, by proxy, since you know you wouldn’t be able to do so physically by yourselves.

And never having a female president isn’t an “issue”, it’s a circumstance. If women want a female president, perhaps they should, as the majority of U.S. voters, vote one into office. Women have only themselves to blame for this one.

For the record, feminist “literature” doesn’t qualify as evidence, so don’t even bring that bullshit here.

Oh… Yeah, I thought so.

Mem do have reproductive rights, those rights are only limited by their inability to give birth. Since men cannot reproduce, reproductive rights can only extend so far.
I’m not sure what your beef is with the Violence Against Women Act. What is your proposed alternative? Do you want a Violence Against Men Act or do you want to change the penalties for crimes in general? Honestly I think that it should have been made a law that applied to everyone rather than a gender-focused act.

So in other words, you really don’t care about equality at all. You are that feminist, the one who believes women should have an automatic “leg up” in reproduction because of the biology she was born with. She aborts the child, he’s off the hook. She keeps it, he’s back on the hook. Can you even imagine the firestorm if a man got to dictate whether or not a woman has his child. You’re a true feminist hypocrite, embrace the misandry.

If you’re too stubborn to understand, but understand and don’t care. *shrugs* i’ll see you at the finish line then won’t I?

So in other words, you belittle them for being “ungrateful” and don’t understand what “no” means. And, no, it isn’t solely feminism that granted her “everything”.
God forbid women have agency, right?

I don’t belittle them, I disagree with them, like I’m disagreeing with you. I can’t force you to agree with me, but she’s open to express any opinion he wants of me, like you’re doing now, and I can do the same.

Right, and your opinion that they’re “ungrateful” is just that, an opinion, and a shitty one at that.

Didn’t say she was ungrateful, but what’s wrong with feminism, exactly? I’d like to know what you think is so wrong with it.

The complete and utter apathy for men isn’t a problem?

I’m not apathetic towards men. There IS misandry, I think we can agree with that. But that should not be confused with feminism. Feminism seeks for women to be on the same level as men, not above them, but at the same level. Same pay amount for same qualifications and same amount of work. Same jail time for same severity of crime. If a woman hits a man he should be able to hit back in self defense and not be assumed to be the instigator or abuser because the other party is a woman. I would never want to be above my male friends, I love them too much to let that happen.
I’m a feminist, I want us on the same plane, I despise any person, male or female, that seeks to demean either side. Like you right now, attempting to put me down and assuming I have apathy for men shows me you are apathetic towards feminists because you had the wrong idea of what I was about.
Not all men are pigs, nor are they all rapists, abusers, manipulators, and not all women are innocent, preferable parents, or naive. Both sides have their undesirable members of society, but right now, women are held below in many regards, and above men, in many regards(such as many times women getting lesser sentences in criminal cases despite commiting the same crimes as their male counterparts). I seek to bridge those gaps and come in the middle so we’re treated the same by our laws, by society, and not to halt competition, because without competition we cannot progress as a population, but so that women are not seen as less for being women and men are not seen as pigs for being above them.

“Feminism seeks for women to be on the same level as men, not above them, but at the same level. Same pay amount for same qualifications and same amount of work. They can wear makeup, it just goes against everything they stand for, not that feminists have much conviction in their words to begin with.

Everyone's going to have their own views and that's totally cool, but feminism is important to me for cultural reasons and not so much political and I think that makes me a little less intense to talk to if you had any questions.

Sure, for instance, what is your “equality movement” doing to address men’s issues, if they even acknowledge they exist?

Yes they do, but they let that woman understand she’s saying no to everything she’s recieved thanks to feminism. I myself am of the shrug and walk away kind of person, but not before I know why.

I’m obviously a feminist because I have trouble getting attention from guys. That makes sense. Also apparently now feminists can’t wear make up? Wow this guy is teaching me so much about myself!

They can wear makeup, it just goes against everything they stand for, not that feminists have much conviction in their words to begin with.
This is a person who is against “fat shaming” as long as it’s not used towards women, men are fair game, apparently. She’s a hypocrite and an awful person who complains about “patriarchal” beauty standards simply because men don’t like hairy legs and pits.
Boo fucking hoo, honey, no one feels sorry for you.

Dude you just demonstrated how little you know about the feminist movement. Good try though.

Yup, just like atheists don’t understand religion.
Oh wait…
Also, what kind of loser follows someone they hate? Seems to be a feminist thing, which is appropriate, being that they’re possibly the biggest losers on the planet.
